Kodethuru, a coastal village in Karnataka, is home to an 800-year-old Vishnu idol — worn soft by time, but never by devotion. This Vishnu murthy is our recreation of that idol, reimagined as it may have stood eight centuries ago.
Vishnu appears in his four-armed form: the Chakra and Shankha raised in blessing, the Gada resting quietly at his side. Behind him, an ornate prabhavali arch rises to a Kirtimukha – the guardian face carved into temple thresholds across the coast. Beneath him, a lotus pedestal sits on a stepped stone base.
The finish is deep black, worked through with gold at the crown, the ornaments, and the sacred emblems he carries — drawn directly from the temple bronzes of the region.
Each Murthy is 3D-printed and hand-finished by our artisans, who treat it as a devotional object first and a product second. Available in two sizes — 15 cm and 20 cm — to sit on a home altar, a work desk, or travel with you on the road.
